On what could well prove to be the last summery day of 2011 a team of eager and keen MGWSP/NCC volunteers converged on Sywell Country Park to construct a 60m causeway.
Under the leadership of Mike Hunt (who kept the teams energy levels up with a constant supply of crisps/doughnuts/sausage rolls/pep talks) the team set about laying the required timber edgings, geotextile and 60 tonnes of planings.
Despite the unrelenting sunshine and the occasional blister the team work dutifully to complete the works and provide the country park with a much needed causeway.
